Minor League Playoffs

Just because the big league team isn't any good doesn't mean the Cubs can't have somebody in their organization enjoy the playoffs. Two minor league teams in the Cubs system made their league's playoffs. The Low-A Peoria Chiefs and the AA Tennessee Smokies.

The Chiefs start their playoff series against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The Chiefs play game one at home tonight at 6:30. I will tweet some results as the game goes on. Game 2 is in Cedar Rapids on Thursday, and if necessary Game 3 will be in Cedar Rapids Friday.

The Smokies (managed by Ryne Sandberg) start their series against the Hunstville Stars on Thursday in Hunstville. The five game series finishes at Tennessee for the final three games (the last two being if necessary of course).

I will tweet all results from these two series, and perhaps even do a write up or two. TCB hasn't had the greastest minor league coverage, but I'm going to make sure that changes this offseason.

Audio links are here for the Chiefs and here for the Smokies if you want to listen.
